An early word from Andrew, more on how things are going on his end soon…

Pankaj explains DeskHappy a bit further.

Just a little update on the videos. Gwen just finished the voice overs for 9 stretching videos and we have 3 sitting on our dead camera that will be fixed this upcoming week. So we’ve got content, finished design and PR stuff! We’re just waiting on what Dev has to say and we’ll be rolling. The energy is real high in here and I am getting pretty damn excited myself.

We’ve got a meeting up coming up in the next few minutes here and each one we have is getting more exciting. With the imminent release of beta DeskHappy right around the corner I am sure that you’ll agree with me that we’re all wanting to see this thing launch soon.

On another note we’re getting ready to start watching the game when it starts in a little bit so perhaps it’s incentive to get stuff done for DeskHappy so the game is less stressful for all of us.

I’ll update as soon as we’re done our meeting.

The Boston Globe is back for the end of the day (she’s in the photo, far left in the chair). It’s great cruising around the web and seeing how many people are actually talking about the weekend and what we’re making. We appreciate the press we’re getting here and hope it opens the eyes of some of the folks who might be on the fence about coming to a Startup Weekend.

It seems as if there are a decent amount of people that we have from this weekend that are interested in continuing on the project. Always a good thing for a product like this that can be monetized so easily. I think they’ll be doing the night and weekend thing for updates and improvements for now and seek a possible invest  ment if I’ve heard correctly.

The Biz Dev team has been really active in getting the ball rolling with the monetization schemes and talking to investors, etc. By far this Biz Dev team is running right up there with the Boulder team. I am biased because I have not been to the other weekends but from a Biz Dev & Core Team perspective it’s all pretty damn impressive to me the amount of passion people are putting into this project.

Well Chris is  sleeping again. Isn’t there work that needs to be done Chris? What is going on man? Dev is relying on you to bust out a nice looking site and you only have a few hours left. That being said Chris and the Dev Squad have been doing some awesome work and we’re proud of what they’ve managed to accomplish so far this weekend.

Simple meeting. Got some good news though!

• Dev is busy working on the email notifications
• Chris is finishing the skins for the site
• Creative has finished doing what it is they’ve been doing and I assume are gonna do minor tweakig
• We’re getting some timelines together for the next couple hours to make sure things stay on track
• We’re getting a slingbox so we can watch the Sox game tonight
• Next meeting we have some entertainment in the form of Samantha Murphy. I’m listening to her now and I’m totally blown away. So good. It’ll be a great meeting.

This upcoming meeting should be a big one. I’m hoping we’ll see some huge finishes to some products and get an awesome update from Dev and the editing team. Things are starting to wind down slowly here and everyone here wants to see something come out of this weekend and I’m sure you want to see something as well.

Just spoke with Jason from creative and it seems like they are finishing up their revamp of some content on the site. Text, logo, etc are being changed as I type this and then the site should be nearing the stages of completion. That I can say at least is going to be good to go at some point tonight.

As far as development goes we have a meeting in 5minutes and you’ll be given the update soon after that.
