Startup Weekend Boston

Ben just informed me that we’re pushing the final 8 videos for the application and it’s at about 30% at the time of this post. Videos are the integral portion of the application and it’s great to know that these huge parts are finally being put into place. With a little over 50minutes left the big items getting put up on the server is a great indication of the fact that we’re going to be the second SW group ever that launched a product within the weekend.

There is one hour left to Startup Weekend Boston. At 11pm we’ve either got a product done or we don’t. It’s game time and crunch time. 60 passes of the second hand and we call it a day. Is it going to happen? You make the call. You should know by now that I fully believe we are launching a product at 11pm.

Just got word that the newest version of DeskHappy has been pushed to the server. Email functionality is now being tested and the design is being plugged in. Next update will be the completed design and the one after that will be the final push.

There are about 5 quick items left to the todo list and we’ll be launching! Updates are coming fast!

It’s 3-1 Sox. Kind of a bummer but they are doing awesome and so are we. I’ve just been told that the launch is imminent and that Dev is almost ready for the final push!

Invites and Sign-up emails are now working is the news I just heard from the Dev Team. They’re testing it now just to make sure everything is kosher but this is a huge deal for the Dev team and hurdle that’s finally been jumped over.

Dev team energy is amazing right now. I’m asking myself why I have not been in this room from the start.

I’m sitting with Dev’s working out some design flaws, etc. We’re working them all so we can launch in the next hour or so if all goes well. It seems the design changes are small enough to work with yet large enough that if left unchanged could bork a few items. Anyways, we are busting our ass and the nose is to the grind stone.

Christina & I are brainstorming the look and feel of the blog and we’ll be making the blog look like the site in the next couple of days. There will be some subtle changes obviously to accommodate posts and other content not generally found on the website.

It’s 3-0 Red Sox in the top of the 4th. There are a lot of excited people here especially with the game and the product coming together. It looks like the Sox are playing their hearts to a screaming crowd of Boston Fanatics at Fenway Park. I’m cheering the Dev’s on as well with some sort of crazed fanatacism in the hopes it keeps them energized and on track.

We’re into the final stages of development here at Startup Weekend. The email template and system and getting ready to be pushed out and now were just making sure that all the blocks are going into the proper holes. People are starting to do the “I’m hanging out” thing and it’s good to see that teams have wrapped up what they’ve been working on.

Updates will be coming in fast now as the night goes on and the devs start finishing up the minor pieces.
