It’s 3-0 Red Sox in the top of the 4th. There are a lot of excited people here especially with the game and the product coming together. It looks like the Sox are playing their hearts to a screaming crowd of Boston Fanatics at Fenway Park. I’m cheering the Dev’s on as well with some sort of crazed fanatacism in the hopes it keeps them energized and on track.

We’re into the final stages of development here at Startup Weekend. The email template and system and getting ready to be pushed out and now were just making sure that all the blocks are going into the proper holes. People are starting to do the “I’m hanging out” thing and it’s good to see that teams have wrapped up what they’ve been working on.

Updates will be coming in fast now as the night goes on and the devs start finishing up the minor pieces.

CSS breakthroughs! Chris & I have solved the major issues and it’s all working now in IE7, Firefox and Safari! It’s a huge step forward to completing the site and now it’s all content generation and we’ll be getting on that right now. Things are getting stitched together now and we’ll soon be seeing some product! I know I’ve been saying that for awhile now but this design breakthrough is a huge one and Chris seems to be immensely relieved at this point.

We got a slingbox to watch the game on here at the SWB offices and everyone is huddled around the TV eyes glued to the Sox. This is game 7 of the ALCS so it all coms down to this tonight. Much like SWB, it all comes down to the next couple of hours for us whether or not we all succeed. It all depends on how well the team plays and works together.

We’ll post updates as the night goes on much like we have all weekend except this time it will be scores and SWB updates.

Since the night is winding down I figured I’d let everyone reading this blog know about the fact that DeskHappy will be having its own blog starting tomorrow where you will be able to catch all the developments that happen in and around DeskHappy, Inc. I’ll toss a post up later with the url for the blog so you can add it to your RSS feed.

PR seems to be finishing everything up. I’ve been told PR is now working on blogger outreach and the DeskHappy blog is getting put up as well. We have an awesome PR squad and they really have their stuff together and managed to turn out some great materials for us to utilize for the site and promotions. Cheers go out to Christina and crew for powering through some seriously long hours.

Chris & I are working on some CSS and making some quick design changes for the site. Once this is done (and it shouldn’t be too long) I believe we’ll be rolling something out for everyone to start using and giving us feedback on.

The CSS for the site is being completed now and should be done we hope. On top of that Dev is finishing up the email template for the daily updates and I guess we should be rolling pretty well at that point. Overall, Startup Weekend is working out to be damn good on this end and we’ll be joining the ranks of West Lafayette in launching a product.

We’re hanging out here with Samantha Murphy and eating some Taco Bell. Interesting combination but it’s a damn good one. This is easily one of the best surprises from the weekend. Having an awesome musician help close a great weekend is something that you could never asked for.
